Track Listing…

I’ve got a rough idea of what the record’s going to look like:

1. Wedding Song
2. Spinning On
3. Flora
4. Down
5. (New Blues-ish song)
6. My Friend
7. (“I Can’t Do Nothing” or something that sounds like that)
8. (Laid-back swingy song)
9. All Too Much For Now
10. (Slow, Nick Drake-y sounding song)
11. The Knowledge Tree
12. Taking Time

So, two weeks ago, this list was only 10 songs long.  “My Friend” found it’s way out a few nights ago, and its a keeper.  And I stuck “(Laid-back swingy song)” back into the mix because I like it again after a month of thinking it wasn’t very good.  Now it’s good again.

I have another idea for an upbeat track that I’d like to do as a duet with a female voice.  I’ve started sketching it, and I definitely want it in.

So the list is getting A BIT longer then I expected, and inevitably some of these wont make the cut.

On “Grenadine”, I went into the studio with like 6 songs, and the rest developed over the year and half we worked on the album.  I’m assuming the same thing will happen on this one, where a handful of new things develop as were recording.  It’s nice having more than I need going into this… will hopefully a better record for it.
