“Flora”

I love seeing an artist’s process.  I’ve love sketches, demos, all of it… I think it’s very cool to see he evolution of a something.  Sometimes it’s more interesting than the final piece.

So here’s a first sketch for one of the songs… right now it’s called “Flora”.  The music’s done, I know what the story is about… but there’s not a lyric written yet.  Now, for some people who haven’t got a clue what I’m saying in my songs, this wont seem all that out of place (yeah, I know, my annunciation is a little twisty sometimes. OK, maybe a lot of times.) But either way, the song is pretty well represented.

Shirk recorded this one night when he and his wife were hanging out with me and my wife at our apartment… and drinking quite a bit. I left in some funny bits of chatter at the end.
