

PJ Loughran began his career doing illustrations for the Op-Ed pages of the New York Times while attending Parsons School of Design. Since then PJ has created over 2000 illustrations for clients including Sports Illustrated, Esquire, GQ, Rolling Stone, Time, Newsweek, Fortune, Forbes, Nike, Ford Motor Company, Simon and Schuster, Harper Collins, Scholastic, Burton Snowboards and the New York Times. PJ's work has been recognized by The Art Directors Club of New York, American Illustration, Communication Arts Magazine, Print Magazine, RSVP, the Society of Publication Designers and the Society of Illustrators of New York and Los Angeles.
In his initial years following graduation PJ served as Design Director and Creative Director at AGENCY.COM, one of the largest pioneering firms in the interactive marketing and technology space. During his tenure there, PJ helped AGENCY.COM win over 30 prestigious awards through his contributions on projects for clients including Coca-Cola, Nike (Michael Jordan), British Airways, American Express, Hitachi, Harvard Business School and the independent film showcase, Urban Desires.
In 2005, PJ founded Kerosene Creative Services, a digital marketing firm whose client list included LEGO, Sony Pictures, Universal, Warner Bros, and 20th Century Fox. In 2009, PJ sold Kerosene to Chicago-based Manifest Digital where he served as Chief Creative Officer for two years.
PJ is also an accomplished musician and songwriter. Since 2001, he has completed three full-length records and performed for audiences across the country, including opening spots for Maroon 5, R.E.M., Johnny Lang, Taj Mahal, Todd Rundgren, REO Speedwagon, and The North Mississippi All-Stars, among many others.
In addition, PJ was an adjunct professor at Parsons from 1998-2006, teaching classes in design, illustration, and drawing. He has also been a frequent guest lecturer at schools and design organizations nationwide, including the School of Visual Arts, Pratt Institute, Rhode Island School of Design, Columbus College of Art, Oklahoma Christian University and the North Carolina Design Association.
PJ lives just outside Chicago with his wife, three children and his trusty dachshund, Willy.
